Blurry

some of these images were taken from films 80 years old, some with many generations. Although we made efforts to restore these images, they may appear blurry.  They are meant largely to be expressive, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Wooden Mats

I made a few calls about cutting these fancy designs in mat board, and apparently they want 30-100 bucks, just for the board, which is too pricy.  It'd be easier for me to get a knife edge blade, and cut into foam core or mat board, with a jig saw,
Or to use wooden sheets, and a smooth cutting jig saw blade. I could get some stencils or ornament to go around it if I wanted.

Untitled Series

These are ok.  They need color work, and that's not easy.  I've got a limited eye for such things, but I need to work on it sooner or later.  I'm still doing the series as it pertains to collage.  But I've thought how this may work just by itself, for design based art.  Something to go on the wall, to match.  To gaze at, for focus... Still it has to be nice.  It's missing something.  But the new set of filters, the metalllics are promising.  I had another version, which I lost.  The thing is.  You have to keep all the versions.  When you're satisfied with a direction, save that version.

From my reading, it seems that sharpening makes metallic based art stand out.

These may also look good, printed on metal.

Another thing I could do, is check out the coloring of the stores that I like, and look for their coloring to see if I could match it.

Enlarging, color correction.

Enlarging.  Some of these images have come out pretty small from the freeze frames.  Using these enlarging sites makes it sos I dont' lose quality.

Also, nothing is substituting from the fact that I'm going to need to grade these images.  Davinci is currently the best thing I have to do that.

Montage, Photoderivé

Montage is the word for what I'm doing.  It's editing.

Since it's derived, it's probably more accurate to say photoderive.  What I'm doing is capturing, in this series, woman's mannerisms, etiquette, body language, and controposto. Depicting forms and poise used since the days of ancient greece, and the renaissance.

Notes on Fair Use
I believe the answer to the question of justification turns primarily on whether, and to what extent, the challenged use is transformative. The use must be productive and must employ the quoted matter in a different manner or for a different purpose from the original. ...[If] the secondary use adds value to the original--if the quoted matter is used as raw material, transformed in the creation of new information, new aesthetics, new insights and understandings--this is the very type of activity that the fair use doctrine intends to protect for the enrichment of society.

Transformative uses may include criticizing the quoted work, exposing the character of the original author, proving a fact, or summarizing an idea argued in the original in order to defend or rebut it. They also may include parody, symbolism, aesthetic declarations, and innumerable other uses.

The form

I'm looking for elegance in the form.  This reminds me of jazz.  I'm just going to have to put out an ad for american black girls and women, african american, african blacks, latin blacks, european black girls.  There's the form. I won't be looking for the one form though.

the rapture

I got the epson r2400 from the guy, and ran the nozzle cleaner, but I don't have the cartridges yet.  They may arrive around the same time as the Canon's.

I've also got some new pics to work with.  I'm definitely going to need to find a way to get them larger.

I've got an idea of the piece for lillian parker. I'm looking to make a quand meme piece with her. Something about a raptre.  This is one of the pieces.

I've got some hymn lyrics for the fenetre series as well.

photo paper

I picked up some paper, an ordered a new set of cartridges. They're not canon, but they have good reviews. But they're not going to be here until next week. If I want to proceed with a Shopify store, how are the have to pay the bill now, or cancel Andre open next week or later with a new store. But I'm going to get a cartridge today. A photo magenta. So right now I'm primarily testing, and getting the price is ready on the Shopify page, in accordance what's the dropship printer.

Canon printer, tests

I was able to get the Canon pro 100 printer in Queens.  Looks great and it works with my operating system.  Now I have to get some more ink, paper, mat cutter, paper cutter, framing wood, glass or acrylic, frame pins, mat board, fixing spray, double stick acid free tape...  Shit like that, to start selling.
I can also print test prints for now, to go up on the site.  What it was really for, was to see how the pictures would look, when enlarged from compressed jpeg files.  I imagine not so good, but I should be able to tweak the color and luminosity etc. to make something different, for smaller sizes.  If I can get say 8x10s or even 11x14s to look good, that's good enough for selling with a drop ship printer.

printers panoramas, fenetres

Been working on the fenetre series.  Probably spending too much time on one.  I wanted an image, but it was taken obscurely, and placing it in the photograph is proving too difficult.
I'm also seeing the series as being done at night, to produce the most vivid lighting effects off of the reflection.
A rainy day could possibly produce these reflections.

I'm searching for a printer.  largely to make tests, but if I can get one to make images that I could sell on the street, that'd be good too.
Be nice to get something I could print panoramas.

Shopify concerns

I'm going to have to call Brother, to see what's going on with this printer.  Just wasted an hour with them, evidently they don't have a driver that works with 10.6.8.  Not even a universal

I'll have to get a printer that works with my computer as well as a generic printer driver, like gutenberg.

I still haven't put additional thought into the shopify experience.  I do have the hang of it, but one of my concerns is the printing/framing.  On one hand, I can frame the work myself, but on the other, I've read that you have to buy a year in advance of shopify service.

I need to confirm this.  I also have concerns about integrating the shopping experience with my shopify page.
How Does the plugin integrate?
Do I load pictures onto the shopify page?
What about my browser, if it doesn't work with my browser, then I'm stuck with having paid for teh service, until I get a new computer.
-truthfully though, I can use the computer for working with the images, then upload the images to the cell phone.

I do have the images that I could put on the site immediately

What would I need to do?

wholesale frames

wholesale frames

Matboard center has some good deals

https://www.matboardcenter.com/16x20-photo-picture-frame-w-mat-6-pcs-box-wood/

This is really the only place that I found that is selling actual wholesale frame prices. The others seem more like bulk retail.

webstore bones

I wonder if it's possible to import the entries from one journal, to another.  I've got the beginnings of the art photography store website set up, but there's posts there which I would rather, well, obviously isn't for the public. Notes etc.  Like this.  Also working out ideas.

I figured out... forgot what I was going to write.  Anwyay, I've got to get some of the stuff off the titles pages. Published by, write a review etc. It's a store.
